In these Terms, "we", "us", and "our" refer to Conversational Things, Olivier Heitz. "You" refers to any visitor to drive-this.com, subscriber to our newsletter, or party to a Sponsored Listing agreement with us.
Drive This is a registered trademark of Conversational Things, Olivier Heitz.
By accessing drive-this.com, subscribing to our newsletter, or entering into a Sponsored Listing with us, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the service.
Drive This provides:
- A curated, map-based directory of European automotive events
- Editorial content, including event reports, previews, and driving guides
- A newsletter covering upcoming events and related stories
- Paid Sponsored Listings for event organizers, as set out in Section 6
Drive This does not organize, host, or run any of the events listed. We are a media platform. The events themselves are run by independent third parties, and all attendance, purchase, and participation decisions are between you and the organizer.
Drive This is free to access. No account or registration is required to browse the site, read editorial content, or use the map.
If you use the "favorites" feature, the list of favorited events is stored locally on your device using browser localStorage. This data stays on your device and is not transmitted to us.
You agree not to:
- Use automated tools, bots, or scrapers to extract content from the site
- Republish editorial content without written permission
- Misrepresent yourself as affiliated with Drive This
- Interfere with the operation of the service
Drive This keeps editorial coverage separate from paid placement.
Drive This Picks are selected by our editorial team on merit. They are unpaid and cannot be purchased.
Sponsored Listings are paid placements by event organizers. They are clearly labelled as "Sponsored" in the directory and are governed by Section 6.
Paid sponsorship does not influence editorial coverage. Events that appear in the directory without a Sponsored label are not paid placements.
Press accreditation received from an organizer in exchange for coverage does not create an obligation to publish favourable content. Editorial assessments remain the responsibility of the editor.
Sponsored Listings are available only to organizers of events that are open to the public or to verified enthusiast audiences. They provide featured placement of the organizer's event within the Drive This directory for the duration of the subscription.

Prices are in Euros and exclude any applicable taxes, including Swiss VAT where applicable. The annual rate reflects approximately two months included at no charge.
Sponsored Listings are invoiced directly. Payment terms are specified on the invoice. Placement begins once payment is received, unless otherwise agreed in writing.
Monthly Sponsored Listings renew automatically each month unless cancelled in writing at least seven days before the next billing cycle. Annual Sponsored Listings do not auto-renew. No refunds are issued for partial periods.
Included: Sponsored pin placement on the map, "Sponsored" label on the event card and drawer, and priority position in relevant listings.
Not included: Editorial coverage, inclusion in Drive This Picks, newsletter features, and social media promotion. These remain independent editorial decisions.
Organizers are responsible for the accuracy of the event information they provide. We reserve the right to decline or remove Sponsored Listings that conflict with our editorial standards, including:
- Paid participation tours (travel products rather than public events)
- Events that violate applicable law
- Misleading, incomplete, or inaccurate event descriptions
If a listing is removed for cause under this section, no refund is issued.
We occasionally enter into non-monetary arrangements with organizers, for example featured placement in exchange for backlinks, press accreditation, or editorial access. These are treated as Sponsored Listings for the purposes of labelling and the rest of this Section 6.
The Drive This newsletter is delivered via Mailchimp. By subscribing, you consent to receive email from Drive This covering upcoming events, editorial features, and occasional service updates.
You can unsubscribe at any time using the link in any email. Unsubscribing removes you from the list held at Mailchimp. For further detail on how subscriber data is processed, see our Privacy Policy.
If you submit event information, images, or other content to Drive This, for example as an organizer requesting inclusion or providing Sponsored Listing assets, you:
- Warrant that you hold the rights to the content and that its use by Drive This will not infringe any third-party rights
- Grant Drive This a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide license to display, edit, and adapt the content for use on drive-this.com, in our newsletter, and in related promotional material
We may edit submitted content for clarity, style, and length before publication.
The Drive This name, logo, editorial text, photography, design, and code are the property of Conversational Things, Olivier Heitz, or its contributors. Individual photo and text credits are shown alongside the content where applicable.
You may not reproduce, republish, or redistribute our editorial content without written permission. Short excerpts under 30 words may be quoted for review or commentary with clear attribution and a link to drive-this.com.
Event organizers retain ownership of the event information, logos, and images they submit. They grant us the license set out in Section 8 for the purpose of listing and promoting the event.
Drive This relies on the following third-party services. Your use of the site involves data exchange with these providers under their own terms and privacy policies:
- Webflow: content management and hosting
- Mapbox: interactive map rendering
- OpenWeatherMap: short-range weather forecasts
- Open-Meteo: historical weather data
- Mailchimp: newsletter delivery
- jsDelivr: script delivery (CDN)
- GitHub: hosting of custom scripts
We are not responsible for the practices of these providers. See our Privacy Policy for how we handle data.
Event details displayed on Drive This, including dates, locations, prices, and programmes, are provided by event organizers or compiled from public sources. We make reasonable efforts to keep this information current but do not warrant its accuracy or completeness.
Before attending or travelling to any event, confirm the details directly with the organizer. We are not liable for changes, cancellations, or any loss arising from inaccurate or outdated event information.
Drive This is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis, without warranties of any kind, express or implied.
We do not warrant that:
- The service will be uninterrupted or error-free
- Event information is accurate, complete, or up to date
- The site will be compatible with every device or browser
To the fullest extent permitted by Swiss law:
- We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages
- We are not liable for the acts or omissions of event organizers, sponsors, or other third parties
- Our total liability to a Sponsored Listing customer in connection with a listing is limited to the amount paid for that listing in the twelve months preceding the claim
- For visitors who have paid nothing, our total liability is limited to CHF 100
Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited under applicable law, including liability for gross negligence, intentional misconduct, or personal injury caused by us.
If you are an event organizer, Sponsored Listing customer, or other commercial user, you agree to indemnify Drive This against claims, losses, and expenses arising from:
- Content you submit to us
- Events you organize and list on our platform
- Your breach of these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. The "Last Updated" date at the top reflects the most recent change.
Material changes affecting Sponsored Listing customers will be notified to active sponsors by email at least 30 days before taking effect. Continued use of the service after an update takes effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
These Terms are governed by Swiss law, excluding its conflict-of-laws rules and the United Nations Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods (CISG).
The ordinary courts of Zurich, Switzerland have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute arising from these Terms, subject to any mandatory consumer protection rules in the visitor's country of residence.
Consumers resident in the EU retain the protections of their local consumer protection laws and may use the EU Online Dispute Resolution platform at https://ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr.
