Event
The Antwerp Concours d'Elegance is a single-day classic car event held annually at Belvédère Castle in Wijnegem, a municipality on the outskirts of Antwerp. Now in its 21st year, the concours presents around 100 rare and exceptional motorcars drawn from European collections, spanning prewar coachbuilt machines, postwar sports and luxury cars, racecars and one-offs. A selection of roughly 60 cars is brought before a jury of collectors, automotive historians, designers and journalists in a formal concours judging session, with prizes awarded by category and a best-in-show trophy at the closing ceremony.
The event was founded in 2005 and held its first editions in Hangar 15 in central Antwerp before moving to castle settings better suited to the concours format. Since 2010 it has been based at Belvédère, where the grounds provide a manicured outdoor setting for the car displays and the afternoon parade. Each year the programme is built around a special exhibition theme, with past subjects including Lancia, Ferrari, Alfa Romeo, Maserati, Jaguar, Aston Martin and Lotus. The 2026 edition is the 16th to be held at Belvédère.
The day follows a fixed schedule: participating cars arrive at 8 a.m., the gates open to visitors at 10 a.m., the jury parade takes place at 1 p.m. and the prize-giving ceremony closes the event at 5 p.m. A Tour d'Elégance on the Saturday before the main concours allows participants to drive a route through the region ahead of the judging day. Visitor tickets are available in presale at a reduced price, with free entry for children under twelve.
Wijnegem is immediately east of Antwerp and easily reached from the city centre by car. Free parking and a shuttle service are provided on the day, with a dedicated area for arriving classic and sports cars. For visitors travelling from further afield, Antwerp itself offers one of Belgium's most compact and walkable historic city centres, with the port, cathedral and diamond quarter all within walking distance.
