Autopia Madrid

Event

The Bosque del Santander is a 70-hectare private forest in Boadilla del Monte, a suburb fifteen kilometres west of central Madrid. On the last weekend of April it fills with around 1,200 cars and 200 motorcycles, spread across 15 hectares of woodland in a layout that owes more to festival than to motor show.

Now in its fifth edition, Autopía has settled into a format that deliberately avoids hierarchies. Pegaso and Hispano-Suiza classics share ground with Japanese imports, rally cars, off-roaders, campers, and current-generation supercars from Lamborghini, McLaren, and Ferrari. Fifteen judged categories cover the full range. The entry philosophy is consistent: if it's genuine, it belongs here.

The surrounding programme fills the gaps. Over fifteen food trucks anchor a 5,000m² gastronomic area; live music runs across jazz, soul, and electronic sets throughout both days. There are driving simulators, a scale model and book market, a Scalextric area, and water stations for dogs. Three percent of ticket revenue goes to local charitable causes. The event is deliberately family-facing in a way that most concours and classic shows are not, which is either the main draw or beside the point depending on why you're coming.

Gates open at 10:00 both days. Free shuttles run from Boadilla Metro Ligero station. From Madrid, the A-6 northwest out of the city is the straightforward route; the M-501 through the Casa de Campo park is the one worth taking if you have the time.
