Event
BFD – BMW French Date – has grown into the biggest BMW and MINI gathering in France, and the ninth edition promises another weekend of pure community spirit in the countryside north of Paris. No selection process, no registration hassle – just show up with your car, clean and finished, and join hundreds of fellow enthusiasts.
This is a static meet through and through. No track sessions, no drag runs, no rev battles. Instead, BFD focuses on what makes car culture genuinely enjoyable: rows of beautifully presented vehicles from every generation, from classic E30s to the latest M cars, from original MINIs to current JCW models. Clubs reserve their own areas, creating mini-villages within the event where you can dive deep into specific models and eras.
The festival atmosphere sets BFD apart from typical car meets. There's a professional village with brand stands, food trucks, a covered terrace, a bar, and a proper DJ stage for the evening sessions. Entertainment includes stunt shows, acrobatics, competitions like the famous Limbo challenge, a tombola, and activities to keep younger visitors happy. On-site camping means you can make a full weekend of it without worrying about driving anywhere.
The rules are simple: respect the neighbours, keep things calm on arrival and departure, and leave the burnouts at home. It's this relaxed, welcoming approach that has built BFD into what it is today – a genuine celebration of the BMW and MINI community where the focus is on sharing passion rather than showing off.
