Passione Engadina

Event

The 2026 edition marks fifteen years of bringing Italian automotive passion to the Swiss Alps – and the organisers are celebrating with a theme they've titled "The Italian Job." It's a tribute to the manufacturers who built the legend of the Italian automobile, from household names like Ferrari and Alfa Romeo to smaller houses like Cisitalia and Bizzarrini whose low-volume masterpieces remain among the most coveted collector cars in existence.

Passione Engadina combines regularity rally, concours d'élégance, and social gathering into a four-day programme designed around the pleasures of driving, eating, and conversation. The routes cross the Maloja, Julier, and Splügen passes – mountain roads that wind through landscapes dramatic enough to justify the journey even without a car – while timed challenges at Samedan airport test precision driving in a more competitive format. The pace is never rushed; stops are built into the programme specifically to encourage connection between participants.

Eligibility is limited to 120 Italian-built cars, divided into categories spanning pre-war machinery through to vehicles built in 1986. Selection prioritises quality and historical significance over mere rarity – the organisers are explicit about curating rather than simply filling places. A Next Gen Cup introduces younger drivers to historic motoring, with participants under 25 competing in cars provided by the organisation.

The weekend culminates with a display on Via Serlas in central St. Moritz, where judges award the Eleganza in Movimento prizes. The Kulm Hotel serves as headquarters, its terrace offering the kind of setting where an espresso with mountain views becomes as memorable as any stage time.

St. Moritz sits in the Engadin valley, reachable by car or via scenic rail from Zurich in around three hours.
