Pista & Piloti - Hillclimb

Event

Pista & Piloti Hillclimb brings the spirit of traditional British hillclimb events to Germany, taking place at the TRIWO Testgelände in Pferdsfeld near Bad Sobernheim. This regularity-based hillclimb invites around 150 vehicles to tackle the challenging former airfield course, where drivers compete against their own target times rather than racing wheel-to-wheel.

The event welcomes an eclectic mix of machinery spanning automotive history, from pre-war veterans and sporting road cars to dedicated race cars and youngtimers, all without strict year restrictions. In 2026, classic motorcycles return to the starting line. The format is refreshingly accessible: no racing license is required, and participants can enter with road-registered vehicles.

After a training run to set their target time, drivers complete three timed runs up the hill, aiming to match their declared pace as closely as possible. With only one vehicle on the 4-kilometer course at a time, the format suits both beginners and experienced drivers seeking precision. The paddock atmosphere reflects the event's philosophy of "racing with friends," where borrowed tools, shared knowledge, and genuine camaraderie define the experience.

The Pferdsfeld venue, a former military airfield now used as an automotive testing facility, offers a challenging mix of elevation changes and technical corners set within the scenic Hunsrück hills. Spectators enjoy close access to both the course and paddock, making it easy to appreciate the diverse machinery and connect with passionate owners.
