Rallye Monte-Carlo Historique

Event

Rallye Monte-Carlo Historique celebrates the golden age of motorsport with its 28th edition from January 29 to February 7, 2026, organized by the Automobile Club de Monaco. This legendary regularity rally honors vehicles that competed in the original Rallye Monte-Carlo between 1911 and 1986, attracting 253 crews from 28 countries.

The 2026 edition marks significant evolution with competitors departing from six European cities: John O'Groats in Scotland, Bad Homburg, Barcelona, Monte-Carlo, Reims, and Turin. All routes converge at Valence on February 2, where regularity special stages begin. This year introduces closed-road special stages, elevating competitive nature while maintaining authentic spirit.

The rally tests navigation precision, timekeeping accuracy, and mechanical reliability across challenging Alpine terrain, with crews facing varied conditions from dry mountain passes to snow-covered cols. Three average speed categories accommodate different crew profiles, while mandatory CE-approved helmets ensure safety on closed sections.

The spectacular finale unfolds overnight from February 6 to 7, departing Monaco at 21:00 for two mythical stages: the 15-kilometer La Bollène-Vésubie to Col de Turini and the 13.7-kilometer La Cabanette to Col de Braus, with finish celebrations at Port Hercule.

The 2026 official poster honors the 50th anniversary of Michèle Mouton and Françoise Conconi's historic 1976 Ladies' Cup victory, celebrating the legendary driver who became the first woman to win a WRC round. The event concludes with a Gala Dinner and Awards Ceremony at the Salle des Etoiles at Sporting Monte-Carlo on February 7.
