Shift Happens

Event

Sometimes the best car events start with a simple idea over coffee with friends. That's exactly how Shift Happens came together – a group of Swiss enthusiasts who wanted to create something that felt personal, inclusive and community-driven rather than corporate or exclusive. The name captures their philosophy: life changes, priorities shift, but the passion for cars remains a constant thread.

The debut edition in 2025 exceeded all expectations. Nearly 700 vehicles filled JungfrauPark Interlaken, with number plates from Dubai, the Netherlands, Czech Republic and beyond. The mix was wonderfully eclectic: air-cooled Porsches parked beside brand-new GT3 RS models, a Mitsubishi Lancer Evo VI RS2 with roll cage and right-hand drive next to a 2022 Ford GT that its owner describes as "a work of art." Someone even brought a Batmobile. There's no strict programme – gates open, conversations flow, and unexpected moments happen throughout the day.

The setting does the heavy lifting. Interlaken sits between Lake Thun and Lake Brienz, with the Jungfrau massif rising behind. It's hard to imagine a more dramatic backdrop for a car gathering, and the JungfrauPark venue offers enough space for the display areas, food trucks, BBQ stands and partner booths without feeling cramped.

What makes Shift Happens work is the atmosphere. This is a day for people who love cars and the culture around them – whether you're showing a concours-quality classic or just want to walk around, talk to owners and soak it in. Tickets are limited, the vibe is relaxed, and the mountains don't care what you drive. They're just glad you showed up.
