VW Days

Event

It started with 200 cars in Lésigny back in 1999. More than 25 years later, VW Days has grown into one of the largest Volkswagen gatherings in Europe – and it still carries that same grassroots energy that Club Golf IDF brought to the very first edition.

The venue is an old airbase at Seraucourt-le-Grand in northern France, where the wide-open spaces can absorb the thousands of vehicles that arrive from across the continent each June. While the organising club's heart beats strongest for the Golf, the gates are open to everything under the Volkswagen AG and Porsche SE umbrella: Beetles and Buses, Sciroccos and Corrados, Audis and Seats, even the occasional 911. Other brands get directed to a visitor parking area – this is strictly a family affair.

What makes VW Days work is the format. Camping opens Friday afternoon, letting arrivals settle in before the official start on Saturday morning. By evening, the site transforms into a small village of tents, awnings and late-night conversations around lowered Golfs. Food stands keep everyone fed, hot showers are available, and security stays on-site throughout. It's not fancy, but it doesn't need to be.

The cars themselves range from concours-quality restorations to wildly modified builds pushing the boundaries of what's possible on coilovers. Carbon-wrapped G40s sit next to immaculate Mk2 GTIs on gold BBS wheels. There's no judging, no trophies – just appreciation for the craft and the community. If you own something from Wolfsburg and want to spend a weekend surrounded by people who understand why it matters, this is your pilgrimage.
